Testimonial from Carers Trust
“We commissioned CSC to produce a Social Return on Investment Methodology for unpaid carers services. It has been a joy working with the team at CSC. Throughout, Natasha and the team were dedicated and proactive to produce a tool that was fit-for-purpose, as well as being committed advocates for the difference this new tool would make for local charities.
We commissioned the development of the SROI calculator to support carer organisations to be able to articulate their social value to commissioners, funders and decision makers. We knew this would be an ambitious study - because it was/is the first of its kind. Civil Society Consulting understood our brief and supported us to map and balance our priorities - namely the trilateral trade-off between usability, accuracy/detail and flexibility to produce a tool that is robust enough to stand up to external scrutiny. Natasha and the team did a fantastic job of bringing together many different strands of evidence – qualitative, quantitative, secondary data – to build a robust methodology and an easy-to-use tool that lets small organisations produce reliable SROI figures from basic data.
When looking for a partner to deliver on our plans for capturing social value within our network, it was hugely important to us to work with a team that not only could deliver on the complex tool, but which understood the charity landscape, i.e. the challenges and capacity that our network partners are under. CSC delivered not only on the product, but also the necessary relationship building to make the process a positive experience for all involved. Their ability to be flexible in a strict time frame, seek out the right people in our network and keep us regularly informed made for a lovely collaboration.”
