Grow your CSR with CSC
Our team at Civil Society Consulting (CSC) has a vision for enabling you to get more meaningful results out of your CSR/ESG budget. Speak to one of our Directors to find out more.
How can your business engage with the communities around you?
Executing CSR/ESG can be tricky. With limited budgets, you may be restricted to funding individual projects, which can feel like a drop in the ocean. There may be conflicting views in your team about how much the spending benefits your company and you may have limited capacity for managing the budget too.
We might have a solution for you: fund a cohort of grassroots organisations to receive support through our Steps to Sustainability (S2S) programme. Supporting grassroots charities led 'by and for' marginalised communities in your local areas is an effective way to overcome some of these challenges to get the most out of your CSR/ESG budget.
The benefits of this approach are that (unlike funding individual projects) you’re genuinely investing in the communities around you: helping to grow a garden of solutions means you can be confident it will have a multiplier effect for communities and your company in the short, medium- and long-term. But what’s more, funding an S2S cohort is also a way to build your own network of ‘community champions’, which have unparalleled access to the communities you find “hard to reach”. Funding your own S2S cohort is high-impact, whilst also cost-effective and beneficial for your business too.

We see time and time again that civil society organisations fill the gaps in public services. They reach those currently let down by a top-down system - even though they aren’t properly resourced or supported by current policy. By investing in us, you’re catalysing and energising civil society organisations. You can make a real difference, because you’re not just throwing money at a problem, you’re putting money into a solution.
