Kafilla has worked as an Engagement Lead at Macmillan and focused her effort to develop inclusive cancer information and support services for disadvantaged and marginalised communities. She collaborated extensively at a local level, co-designing cancer support services for ethnically diverse communities in partnership with the NHS Integrated Care Board, faith-based, and grassroots community organisations.

As well as being appointed as a Core20Plus5 Ambassador for the National Healthcare Inequalities Improvement programme, Kafilla is passionate about advocating for equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), Kafilla's expertise extends to embedding EDI principles in co-production and service design.
