Lucy has been working with CSC for two years now and in the non-profit sector since 2018. She has taken the lead on gathering interview, focus group and survey data with perinatal women for CSC’s work for the NHS and the mental health charity, Mind, assessing barriers to perinatal mental healthcare, and with wide-ranging organisations in Barking and Dagenham. She also carried out CSC’s impact reports evaluating Steps to Sustainability and Steps to Recovery schemes.

Lucy prides herself on being well versed in first-hand qualitative research processes, including ethical standards, participatory approaches, and analytical software tools, as well as the interpersonal skills necessary to excel in this role. She is currently completing her masters in International Humanitarian Action where she has a strong anthropological focus. Her thesis is based on a multi-site ethnography and explores how to better integrate local voices into international cooperation projects.
